Matty's Bianchi Lugged Cross

IMG_4266

At the swap meet this year, Matt scooped up this frame without any haggling.  Cross frames are kind of where track bikes were a few years back with demand from folks who want to try out the discipline outstripping the number of bikes available.

Vintage numbers are yet even harder to come by, so when he had the opportunity to pickup this fine lugged (mostly, the shaped tubing necessitates a welded BB) handmade in Italy Bianchi Reparto Course he jumped all over it.

Add a Surly 1" Cross Check fork (likely a little long, but it rides great), and a sweet 9 speed Ultegra drivetrain and you end up with a ride that's a real head turner.  You just don't see these very often.

If any of you out there in radio land has any idea where to track down the appropriate Bianchi fork for this thing, holler at me.  He's on the hunt.
